Leighton is two

Leighton had a fabulous little Birthday party at home with family and a few neighbors. We put the little pool out and just played in the backyard, his two favorites. It was really fun and I think he enjoyed EVERY second of the day. My baby boy is 2, I can't believe it.Having his Birthday breakfast.

EASY ENCHILADAS, CHICKEN OR BEEF

I tried this tonight minus the mushrooms and it was yummy. I used ground beef.

EASY ENCHILADAS

1 clove garlic, pressed
1 sm. can mushroom pieces, optional
1 lb. ground meat, cooked or cooked chicken, cubed
1 (10 oz.) longhorn or Cheddar cheese
1 pkg. corn tortillas
1 can Cheddar cheese soup
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
4 oz. chilies or picante sauce, optional
1 carton sour cream

Cook meat. Add garlic, chilies and mushrooms. Cook 5 minutes. Combine soups and sour cream. Add to meat mixture. Stir well. Cut tortillas into thirds. Layer in pan and cover with Cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves 6 easily.

I could go on for days about how special you are Anna Claire. I am so proud of the sweet and smart girl you have become. God has truly blessed us with you. We love you to the moon and back pre!!!

Lemonade Stand

Matt made the kids a lemonade stand and we tried it out Saturday. I think he did a fantastic job, it turned out so cute. One of my neighbors had lots of people in and out all day to see her garden so we had LOTS of customers. Needless to say we made a trip to Wal-mart for a toy after church today! Anna Claire, Merritt and Leighton worked hard, well mainly Anna Claire and Merritt :)

Daddy couldn't hang......I find it hilarious that he can run 26 miles (fast) but gets pooped out helping work a lemonade stand. I thought I was the one that's fat and out of shape. HA!

Almost 2

Leighton will be two in about a week. He is one VERY precious little boy who I can't get enough of. He is having a little family/neighbor party on Saturday. I think the two's are going to be great with this one!

2 Months Old

Wow, can Caroline really be two months old? I said this one would grow up slower, she just has to, but it's not happening. Not another baby to grow up too fast???

Here's some things I want to note about my 3rd baby:
At 8 weeks:
She is sleeping about 5 hours at night (the 1st portion of the night)
During the day she sleeps a lot, staying awake long enough to nurse and then about 30 minutes more.
She sleeps on her belly and will take a paci now. YEAH!!! The Warren's LOVE paci's.
She likes to rock on the porch.
She seems to enjoy going on walks with her big brother and sister.
She smiles at us often.
She HATES the car, especially the carpool line at Anna Claire's school.
She will take a bottle of formula when I'm away. I am SO thrilled.
She likes for her Grandma to come and babysit, she enjoys being in grandma's arms. We are usually out with the other kids and they can have lots of snuggle time.
She loves the sling and it always puts her to sleep.
She was fussy for a few weeks, but seems to be getting a lot better.

Caroline is as sweet as pie and I adore her, we all do! We thank God for her, she is His after all.

A little get away

Our church planned a men's golf trip last weekend and didn't have enough people sign up so they cancelled it. They had already booked the rooms and they decided to give them away plus $65 credit to use at the restaurant, spa or for golf. We were lucky enough to get one! It was a nice little get away for us. Leighton was sick so he stayed with the Warren grandparents. The drive wasn't bad at all (2 hours) and Caroline did remarkably well considering she HATES the car.

They had a heated pool so Anna Claire and Matt enjoyed swimming. We just relaxed and ate lots of food (our family is known for this). Anna Claire got her nails done at the salon.

I got lots of snuggle time with my sweet baby!

Anna Claire utilized the spa! HA! Funny when your 5 yr old daughter asks for a pedi the minute you mention they have a spa at the hotel.
I rode in the back and constantly kept Caroline from starting the "make you crazy car cry". What do I spy in the background????? Yep it's a Sonic imagine that....we made a diet coke stop or two on the way.
