We heart field day!!!

We had a ton of fun today at field day. I remember loving field day as a kid. It was always special because my dad came EVERY year and I can remember running the races and looking over at him cheering me on (such a warm fuzzy). After it was over he would buy me LOTS of junk food (all I wanted) and coke.

Matt and I were as excited as the kids were. They did great and  REALLY wanted to win all of the events.  We  I talked afterward about how everyone is a winner blah blah...you know how that story goes and AC said "yeah but I always want to win the races for real!" I love it.....she's just calling it like she sees it I guess. HA!

Leighton can't wait to be in the "Pit Crew."
Today he said "when i get a little taller I am going
to be in Ms. Thomas' room." :)

Fun filled weekend

We had a great family weekend....just hanging out together. We went to Sciport on Saturday and the kids had a blast. Sunday after church we snapped a few pictures of the kids and then Matt took AC and Leighton to the air show. Leighton has been talking about it ever since.
** we can get the best pictures of AC bc she is the only one who will pose for us. :)

Some pictures from Easter etc.

The grown ups playing hot potato at my parents house. You never know what will happen at the Whittlesy's and I love it that way. Never boring. My dad had a wonderful prize for the winner only this is a family friendly blog so I won't tell you what it was!!! No really it was a nice prize.

Only Matt could steal the potato from the most kind person I know....his mother-in-law/my mom. HA!

It was a fun/busy weekend. I think we went to 5 egg hunts....the kids loved it. Leighton got sick (throwing up) Saturday night, but woke up fine the next day (EASTER SUNDAY)
