Were still alive

Alive but busy!!!! Things have been crazy around here.

Let's see:

Still very much adjusting to Kindergarten (has rocked our world)
Tubes in Caroline's ears (done Monday)
Trip to Las Vegas to see my brother....we are so excited....leaving tommorow
Lots of school activities...including donuts with dad (picture below)

and mostly still finding very much needed family time....which is refreshing for all of us!!!

Best thing about Chicago

 

well, the deep dish pizza  and the fabulous sites are the best things about Chicago.Oh and watching my husband run the marathon.

of course Matt had to have pasta and pizza, makes him fast....... and me fast minus the S.


Did I mention the pizza...well we ate it again the second night and it was even better. I guess he will be super FAST and me....well I will be super fast too (minus the S of course). CHICAGO was a blast and I want to go back again next October.

Marathon success

He did it! Yeah! Matt finished the marathon in a fast 3 hours and 8 minutes.Boston here he comes.

Chicago bound

We are literally driving as I type. Yes, we are DRIVING to Chicago and it is nice and quiet in the car (an odd feeling for us). Matt is super excited about the Chicago Marathon coming up Sunday.  He is part of Team World Vision. World vision is  a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. You can read more from Matt here. Thank you to everyone who donated to this worthy cause. Drum roll....he has exceeded his goal and raised $665.00. Copple Sunday School Class you rock! What a blessing it is to be part of such a compassionate Christ centered group.

 I have to brag on my husband and tell  you that he is an amazing runner. As I always say he runs each of his 26.2 miles faster than I can run one mile. HA!

Leighton cracks me up

We were waiting at the doctors office last week and Leighton climbed into a chair and then stood on it, looked over at me and said "does this make you nervous mom?"

I think that is hilarious coming from a 2year old. I love you little man.

A fun photo shoot

My good friend and neighbor is very talented with her camera. I think she should get in to doing some photography. She always takes the best pictures of my kids (snapshots). So I asked her to come over and play around with taking some pictures of Caroline. We ended up throwing some white clothes on Leighton and getting pictures of both of them. AC was in school. We loved the shots so much that we are scheduling a family session with her real soon. If anyone is interested I think she would shoot some pictures for you at a reasonable price, and she is really AWESOME. Post a comment or email me if you are interested.
