Divine intervention

My Target addiction may be resolved. I spend A LOT of time in Target, I love it. But, I have been trying to spend less time there with no success. You see when my kids go to bed, I love to go to Target, yes late at night, it's a fabulous time to go. Anyway, last night I went and had a great time looking around and doing some peaceful shopping. I got to the checkout lane and was standing there waiting my turn reading People magazine, and a mouse runs out! OMG-- if you know me well, there is not a lot I HATE more than mice. I screamed so loud and ran away from my basket/purse/groceries. It was awful. The nice checkout guy and myself were laughing so hard afterwards.

Something VERY good may come from this....I have no desire to enter the store anytime soon.I'm sure I will get my desire back in a week or so, but for now I am traumatized. I do realize every grocery store is probably infested with mice/rats, but I haven't seen them. All I could think about in bed last night is the store closing and the mice eating the produce....uhhhh.

The Cross

Today, all day long I have been thinking about the cross and what it means to me. I guess I read the scripture this morning on the sidebar, and with Easter just passing I am just still so amazed that Jesus died for me. I am so undeserving, but so eternally grateful for His sacrifice. Isn't it amazing that He loves us NO MATTER WHAT? For me that is super news because I fall short so much in my walk with Him. On days when I'm tired, or frustrated or just plain mad at the world, He is my hope and today, (and everyday) I am just so thankful that I have that hope that comes from grace alone.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)

and my favorite verse “I come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

My Leighton

Leighton is getting so big, I can't believe he will be two in a few weeks. He is such a happy boy and just wants to play play play. He is really talking a lot, even some complete sentences. His sister is his idol and he wants to do everything she does. I find myself staring at him all the time....LOVE that BOY!

The Spa Party

We had Anna Claire's 5th Birthday party at the salon where my sister works. The girls had fun getting their nails and hair done. Anna Claire said it was her favorite of all her birthday parties so far.

Happy Birthday Matt

Matt turned 32 on Easter Sunday. We celebrated Friday night (just the two of us) with a great dinner at Superior, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for watching all 3. It is so much fun to hang out just the two of us. I LOVE time with Matt alone. I'm already thinking about a vacation with just the two of us :) .On Sunday we celebrated with family at his parents house after church and had a great time.

We are so lucky to have Matt as a father/husband. I love my super sweet and super hot husband! I love watching him with our kids, it never gets old. I like the way he loves on them. He is one of those daddy's (even with a boy) who has no problem saying I love you and kissing and hugging . Weird I know, but I always prayed that he would be a dad who could love on his little boy. I knew he would with the girls...it melts my heart to see the love he has for all 3 of them.

Easter hat parade

Today at Anna Claire's school they had their Easter hat parade and egg hunt. Matt, Caroline and I got to go and it was super cute! Matt decorated Anna Claire's hat for her, she picked out some ribbons and flowers and daddy made it happen, it was cute cute.

I think watching Anna Claire at school is fun, she loves school so much, there is never a time she wants to miss. I am going to miss it so much next year and I'm already sad. We love her preschool and teacher, it such a wonderful program. This year has been extra sweet for her because of her AWESOME teacher, honestly I can't think of anyone I would rather her have than sweet Mrs. Hendrix!!!
