What's been going on?

We are having a great summer so far. Anna Claire loves to swim and we are about to put her in swimming lessons. I think she'll love it. We are getting into somewhat of a routine I guess. Leighton still eats and sleeps a lot, but were able to get out and do things more which is good because this momma likes to be on the go...so we are enjoying play dates, lunches with friends, swimming and lots of Target runs!!!! Leighton is a good baby...he has grown out of some of his fussiness and is smiling a lot now. I think when Anna Claire's sees him smile and interact some she realizes he's a person instead of just a tiny baby who doesn't do anything but sleep. She makes him laugh!!!

We had a fun 4th of July. We went out to support daddy in the firecracker 5K, which Anna Claire loved. She likes to go and cheer the runners on and then run with daddy afterwards.

The rest of the day on the 4th we went to some friends house to eat and swim.

Leighton had his 2 month check up. He's 13lb 11oz. BIG BOY! 90th percentile for his weight. Anna Claire didn't care too much for him getting his shots.

On antoher note....I have been thinking latley about how blessed I am, so here are the things I'm thankful for today:

1. Healthy kids and family

2. A great husband who is easy going

3. Having lots of people who help make my kids feel special.

4. Diet coke--especially Sonic Diet cokes (this one is a must with the late night feedings)

5. pacifiers

6. staying home with my babies

7. Wednesdays (the day we spend all day at my moms)...I take marathon naps while she entertains both kids. oh and cooks one of may favorite meals each wed for lunch and usually something to take home for dinner (home cooked). That sweet lady is my hero...i love her!

8. I can't say enough how much I feel blessed for our health! I have been thinking a lot lately about less fortunate families and I don't ever want to take for granted my healthy babies!
