We had a date night with our sweet Anna Bannana over the weekend while Matt's parents kept Leighton. We had so much fun with our girl...all we did was go to the bookstore and out for ice cream, but she loved having mommy and daddy all to herself for one night!
Today we had some guys here all day to trim some of our trees because the city decided they were too close to the power lines. They got here around 8:00 this morning. Anna Claire asked who they were, what they were doing here, etc. The normal drill from a very curious 3 year old. I explained it to her and she looked at me with this really sad face and said " I don't want them to cut the trees!" She told me she didn't want the trees to hurt. So I just told her that they wouldn't hurt at all, etc. etc. She asked about it all day and was sad for the trees. Even upon returning from bible school, that was the first thing she asked me about. Funny what goes on in that pretty little head.
