More Birthday and visit with cousins

I feel like we've been celebrating Anna Claire's Birthday for a week...I guess we have. My brother and his family came in town last week. We had a great visit and enjoyed spending time with them. Since they never get to come to our kids Birthday parties, we had a little double party for Anna Claire and Leighton at my mom's house.

One month old

Caroline is one month old (actually 5 weeks). She is just such a precious little baby and I want to do nothing but love on her and keep her tiny. She is sleeping fairly well at night (4-5 hours at a time) and a lot during the day too. She's a fussy little girl in the evenings and loves to be held. She has gotten a few bottles of formula and does well with it, but is primarily nursing. She seems to take the bottle fine so far. So that gives me some freedom when I need to get things done.

She has been a good little trooper considering how busy her mommy is. I guess she will adjust to the non stop going that she will have to do being the baby of the family, however her wonderful grandma and granny have allowed her to be home more by staying with her when we want to go do things with the other kids. She (and me) appreciate that, especially since she HATES the car ride. When we sit in carpool line at Anna Claire's school she screams the entire time. FUN.

God has blessed us with a healthy little girl and we all adore her. We can't remember life without her!!! I do remember however what it was like to sleep all night. ha! Oh well, who needs sleep anyway?? You know they say: you can sleep when your dead, I say you can die if you don't sleep...haha. I'm actually getting enough rest, praise God. I don't know how but I am feeling great.

Happy 5th Birthday Anna Claire

Anna Claire had a great 5th Birthday. She celebrated the night before with mom and dad...we went to the boardwalk and made a Build-A-Bear and did a little shopping. She made a pink unicorn named sparkles. We had a great time, it is fun to spend time alone with our big girl.

I have lots more to post, but I don't seem to have much time anymore...wonder why???? I have a really fun family party to post about as well as the big spa party. But for now.....

This picture is the evening before Caroline was born. For some reason I remember every detail of that day and how exciting it felt to think we would be a family of 5 the next day. It goes by so fast.....I want to freeze time.

Randomness

Matt and my mom have Leighton and Anna Claire at gymnastics right now and sweet Caroline is sleeping. So for my record keeping I thought I would make some notes.

Caroline: I took her to the doctor yesterday for her 1 month check up, and I wanted the doctor to check her ears and lungs because she has had some nasty drainage from her eyes and nose. She just has a little cold, nothing major. But the little piglet weighs 9lb 6oz.= 2 lbs. gained in one month. She loves to eat!!!! She continues to be such a sweet addition to our family. I plan on doing a one month post all about what she is up to.

Leighton: My Leighton is such a sweet boy....he is getting so affectionate-- hugging and kissing us, especially sister. When he first wakes in the morning and I get him out of his crib, the first thing he says when we come in to the living room is "hi sis". He loves his daddy and grandpa a ton. Things he is into these days: cars, trucks, trains, anything outside, tools (pretend and real ones), and anything Matt does. He constantly tells Matt, "Daddy fix it". He loves when Matt is working on a project or something around the house and he uses tools. He likes for Matt and only Matt to put him down for bed at night, he sits with Matt and holds his blanket (blanky) for a little while before he goes to sleep. He only wants to sleep in his crib, no naps with us. He loves both of his sisters and know how to show it. I guess that's what you get when you hang out with girls all day. As my brother (who has 2 sisters) says...poor Leighton. Don't feel too sorry for him though, he know how to get what he wants.
Anna Claire:

My sweet girl. She also knows how to show affection, I love that my kids like to hug and kiss.

She is into dressing up and pretending these days. She changes clothes 10 times a day, I am not exaggerating. Her taste in clothing....well lets just say the tackier the better. What she wears to school is such a struggle. Does anyone else's daughter have a strong opinion about what they wear. Usually I just let her win, but it makes me crazy because I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing her dressed cute.

She likes to pretend she's a lot older than she is (usually 7 or 8 years old) and boss her brother around. She also pretends she's a mommy with her diaper bag and usually meets her friends for lunch and shopping. She loves to wash the dishes for me, and I notice she likes to do other grown up things now. Barbie and My Little Pony are still favorites. I can't believe she will be 5 in a few days...snif snif. I feel so blessed to be her mommy and look forward to each new stage. She's been playing in the rain since she was 2 years old!!! LOVE IT.

Rev. Leighton Wilson Warren, Jr.

Matt's sweet grandfather went to be with Jesus Tuesday March 17th. What a precious man he was. He suffered terribly with Alzheimer's for the past 6 years or so. We know he is one happy man right now in the presence of our Lord. He is reunited with the loves of his life , his wife Frances May and daughter Marietta. He served the Lord so faithfully here on earth and we feel blessed to have known him. 4 Leighton Warren's

My little 3 week old precious girl. I still can't get enough of her, I love everything about my 3rd born. I thank God for this little blessing.

St. Patrick's Day and bedtime

PJ pictures are one of my favorites. You may be wondering who's bottle that is. Not Leighton's surely, why he is almost 2! ha! I know it's bad but he ONLY gets it at bedtime. No other time of the day I promise....okay sometimes during the day. I don't have trouble letting my babies grow up or anything....not at all.

Big sister's are the best

I love these pictures of Anna Claire, this is her little domain (her room) and I love watching her play in there. We play a lot of school/nursery and she loves for she and I to be the teachers and the baby dolls are the students. It won't surprise me if we have a future teacher on our hands. I am so sad thinking about Kindergarten.....we have spent many many days in this little pink room, I will miss her when she's gone all day. However I think I will be busy enough to not think too much about it during the day.
