Cinderella Ballet

I took Anna Claire to see the ballet version of Cinderella Sunday afternoon with my friend Holly and her daughter Avery and cousin Laney and one other friend and her daughter. The girls were so cute. There was a tea party before the ballet where they got to meet the cast and have a cute little lunch/tea.
The ballet was very good. It was pretty long, but they sat pretty still . Anna Claire had a hard time keeping her little body still the whole time, but enjoyed it and has talked about the ballerina's since.

The girls changed into their dress up clothes at the end of the tea party, which they loved.

Trapped

I don't think Biz enjoys the playhouse the way Anna Claire does :) Especially when she locks him in and pretends he's in time out.

Biz the human!

I have always said since my dog was a puppy, he thinks he's human. I truly know why William Wegman, a famous artist/photographer of weimaraners http://www.wegmanworld.com/ uses the breed in his art. They are so human looking it's scary sometimes.

This is just plain funny to me. Here's the deal, Biz has always been SUCH a mommy's boy, but has decided he's a daddy's boy now, I guess for about the last few months or so. I'm not really sure why since I love on him ALL the time and his daddy is so hard on him, but even still he is so in love with Matt now. Matt sits in this one chair in our living room to do work on his computer when he gets home and Biz can't stand it because he can't get up there with him. I guess he finally decided he wasn't going to stand for it anymore. I love this dog/human! He is hanging between the chair and ottoman!!!

Happy 30th Birthday Matt!

Matt turned 30 last week, I can't believe how old were getting :) It's a super thing however....we think our 30's are going to be the best years of our lives!

Matt didn't want to do anything big so we just had cake and presents with family here at our house...of course Anna Claire loved it....we love Birthdays around here. She and I made him a cookie cake!

Build a Bear

Anna Claire got a gift certificate to the Build a Bear Workshop for her Birthday, so we took her and she had such a great time. She picked out a super cute bear with a purple frilly dress, scarf and shoes. She named her Friend. Here are some pictures of her building Friend and then we went out for ice cream afterwards....friend too.

Happy 3rd Birthday Anna Claire!

I can't believe my baby is 3. What a fun girl. She had a great Birthday. We had plans for an outside Birthday party, but due to the rain, we moved it inside. Anna Claire's present from me and Matt and my parents was a bounce house that were going to let them jump in during the party. We ended up getting it out late in the afternoon and she LOVES it. She got lots of fun presents and had fun with all of her friends and family at her party.

We took Anna Claire to Norton Art Gallery Sunday after church and tried to get some good photos. She will NOT look when prompted, imagine that! Also, there are some at home....I have been taking lots of pictures with the Azalea's blooming.

Now I'm ready!

Well, I think I am officially ready for Leighton's arrival, thanks to my sweet friends Holly and Sara, who gave me a great baby shower Saturday. I got lots of cute and much needed boy items and had fun visiting with friends and family. Anna Claire came along and had a special time with her friend Avery (Holly's daughter) with thier very own little table set just for them. Such sweet girlys!

Las Vegas trip!

Well it is time for me to play catch up on blogging.

Anna Claire, Mom and I had a fun trip to Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago. She loved playing with her cousins, Uncle and Aunt. We miss them terribly already. We (my mom and I) kept the boys while my brother and sister-in-law went on a trip. We did lots of soccer, t-ball and baseball....great preparation for what's to come with our little boy! I love watching the 3 cousins together.

New toy, park picnic and swimming in February!

A couple of weeks ago Matt was walking Biz and saw this really big, relatively nice playhouse out for the trash at a neighbor's house. So like Sanford we loaded up the trailer and went and got it. Our plan was to buy one for Anna Claire's Birthday, but this worked out even better. FREE! We spent 2 hours cleaning it and now it's as good as new. She has enjoyed it!

We have been loving this weather lately. It has been like spring. We have had many park trips and if you can believe it, Anna Claire even got in her little pool. I filled up many pots of warm water and she and her friends had a great time swimming!

Mardi Gras

We had fun going to a couple of Mardi Gras parades! The first one was the Dog parade, we took Biz and they both had a good time! The other parade was the Highland parade, which Anna Claire had a blast catching beads with her friends. They got LOTS of beads.

I guess we've been busy around here. Here are some things I wanted to post about:

Anna Claire is talking about Leighton all the time. Here are the things she says about her brother:
-"When I get big I can spank baby Leighton"
-"Mommy is baby Leighton kicking? Baby Emma sure is."(that's the name of the baby in her tummy)
-She talks to him with her lips touching my belly every night.
-She prays for him every time she says a prayer.
-"Baby Leighton can use my little potty because I'm so big I use the big potty now."
-Today she asked me if baby Leighton will stand up to go tee-tee like daddy.

Needless to say we are all very excited about our baby boy and can hardly wait for him to be here. Hopefully we will get to see our sweet boy soon, we have another ultrasound in a couple of weeks.

Anna Claire is at such a fun age right now. Here are some things she loves:

-- being home with mommy during the week. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

--playing dress up. After she gets her dress up clothes on she always says...daddy is going to love it!

-- Doing things on her own: ie- getting dressed, putting her shoes and socks on, getting out of the car, etc.

--She's really into her daddy. She thinks he hung the moon. We are both so lucky to have such a caring attentive man in our lives. When anything breaks at home and I say I'll fix it she says " no mommy daddy can fix it."

-- Not napping. I think were about to drop the nap. She actually does okay all day and then she crashes early.

-- Helping me with any household chore I do. Especially cooking.

-- Playing with her friends! She talks about going to her friends houses all the time.
